(Georgia and Jordan, 2020 & 2023)
"I feel so incredibly lucky to have had Sophie as my midwife for both of my sons. My first birth, in May 2020, was during the height of the Covid pandemic. It was a really scary and uncertain time to be having a baby. Sophie was a student midwife at the time, but you would never have known. Her professionalism, calm presence, and reassuring nature made me feel completely safe, and I’ll never forget how supported I felt despite all the challenges. When I was expecting my second baby in February 2023, I was so happy to have Sophie by my side again. This time, I had a planned home birth and it was a completely different experience: peaceful, empowering, and really special. Having already built that trust and connection with Sophie made all the difference. She remembered how quickly I birthed my first son and how well I managed pain, so I felt an enormous sense of relief when I heard her voice answer the on-call midwife phone. I knew I’d be completely supported and listened to. Her presence was so reassuring, and I felt in such safe hands from start to finish. I’ll always be grateful to her for the care, kindness, and confidence she brought to both of my births. She’s a truly exceptional midwife and a wonderful person."
