"I feel so incredibly lucky to have had Sophie as my midwife for both of my sons. My first birth, in May 2020, was during the height of the Covid pandemic. It was a really scary and uncertain time to be having a baby. Sophie was a student midwife at the time, but you would never have known. Her professionalism, calm presence, and reassuring nature made me feel completely safe, and I’ll never forget how supported I felt despite all the challenges.
When I was expecting my second baby in February 2023, I was so happy to have Sophie by my side again. This time, I had a planned home birth and it was a completely different experience: peaceful, empowering, and really special. Having already built that trust and connection with Sophie made all the difference. She remembered how quickly I birthed my first son and how well I managed pain, so I felt an enormous sense of relief when I heard her voice answer the on-call midwife phone. I knew I’d be completely supported and listened to. Her presence was so reassuring, and I felt in such safe hands from start to finish.
I’ll always be grateful to her for the care, kindness, and confidence she brought to both of my births. She’s a truly exceptional midwife and a wonderful person."

“We met Sophie only hours away from delivery, as she swapped with the midwives who had been with us for most of the day. We were apprehensive about feeling ‘comfortable’ with someone new having familiarised ourselves with Y**** and T**** all day (who were great!). However, this feeling of uncertainty very quickly left us. Sophie made me feel so comfortable, so at ease, so heard and empowered to deliver my baby. Not only is she unequivocally outstanding at her job, she is the perfect mix of being your midwife, but also your friend.
It was only the night after that she was on the postnatal ward and both myself and partner were struggling having only had three hours sleep across three nights at this point. Sophie very kindly offered to look after our daughter for a couple hours whilst we slept and although we were reluctant at first (first time mum worries), we asked for Sophie’s help later on and I genuinely know that I would never have asked anybody else. For me, that speaks volumes for how I felt towards Sophie. I trusted her to solely look after my child who was only hours old, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I trusted her implicitly.
Having had some negative experiences during my time in hospital, Sophie single-handedly counteracted those.
From the bottom of my heart, I don’t know how I would’ve given birth to my daughter without Sophie and I will forever sing her praises. She is beyond incredible and I hope she gets as much recognition as she rightfully deserves.
Thank you, Sophie, for simply being you!"

"My whole pregnancy journey has been a really positive one.
When I found out I was pregnant I was assigned Bek Moore as my midwife. She was so kind, understanding and supportive throughout my entire pregnancy and postpartum. I really can’t rate her enough. She empowered me to advocate for myself and believe in myself pre birth and treated me with care and compassion post birth.
I had an amazing water birth in the obstetric pool. I was made to very supported, informed and I felt relaxed and safe throughout the entire birth. I really couldn’t have asked for more and will be forever grateful for the care received by me and my family that day.
Bek was my biggest cheerleader... believing in me, all her positivity and reassurance. It really was the best day of my life and helped me heal a lot of previous birth trauma."

"Bek was so amazing during my pregnancy, being an older mum and with a few family issues I had a lot of questions and fears but Bek was very reassuring and made me feel heard, no question was too silly and she showed real concern for my mental health.
She was with me every step of the way and I am so blessed that she was even able to be there to deliver my beautiful little girl. I will never forget her kindness and was so glad to have her on our baby journey."
